Stefanos Tsitsipas

Stefanos Tsitsipas represents Greek professional tennis as the highest-ranked Greek player at world No. 3 in the ATP rankings and holds the title of most successful Greek singles player in history. The world witnessed his birth on August 12, 1998, in Athens where his father Apostolos serves as his coach and his mother Julia maintained a top junior ranking. He started playing tennis at the age of six.

Tsitsipas became a professional tennis player in 2016 and won 12 ATP singles titles including three Monte‑Carlo Masters (2021, 2022, 2024) and his first ATP 500 title at Dubai in 2025. The tennis player has appeared in two Grand Slam finals at the French Open 2021 and Australian Open 2023 but lost both matches to Novak Djokovic. The quarter-final finish at Paris 2024 Olympic Games and his distinctive left-handed one-handed backhand style along with his creative gameplay and intense court behavior make him well-known in the tennis world.
