About Steve Levy
Steve Levy is most commonly known for his contributions to the ESPN network as a journalist. Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Canada, Levy moved to New York when he was 17, where he got his first broadcasting gig with radio station WFAN. While ESPN was still authorized to televise the National Hockey League regular season games, Levy was a well-known NHL broadcaster. In fact, he broadcasted three of the longest televised games in NHL history, earning himself the nickname of “Mr. Extra Period”. Having been with ESPN since 1989, Levy has also been a fill-in play-by-play commentator for Wednesday Night Baseball and is currently most seen on SportsCenter.
