About Tim Brant
After a successful college football career playing linebacker at the University of Maryland, Tim Brant signed with the Washington Redskins to begin his NFL career. However, a knee injury pushed him in another direction. Turns out that direction would be the right one. Since the early 80’s Brant has been one of the top reporters in all of football for both ABC Sports and CBS. During his time at ABC he served as a play-by-play man for college basketball, the 1984 Winter and Summer Olympics, the Pro Bowl and Monday Night Football. He also served as a morning co-host and analyst on ABC Sports radio. Between stints with ABC he served in those same roles at CBS, announcing the NCAA Tournament and covering the Tour de France. Currently Brant serves as the Vice President and Director of Sports for ABC 7 out of Washington, D.C. and is widely considered to be one of the top sports analysts in the business.
