About Travis Rice
Known as the Paul Revere of the big mountain freestyle movement, Travis Rice is a professional snowboarder. In 2001 Travis had his breakthrough moment when he competed at the age of 18 and landed a backside rodeo off a 110 foot gap. It didnt take long for the world to take notice of Travis and his ability. He has gone on to compete and medal in the X Games with a bronze, a silver, and two gold medals. Rice has also become known for filming outstanding video parts year after year where the jaw dropping shots such as from his switch 540 over a 120 foot gap continue to awe viewers. While Travis is known best for his competition victories, he has also been a part of several films including the snowboarding film Thats It, Thats All which he starred in. Travis is also a part of the SSX video game franchise, and as a downloadable character, he has become the first real life snowboarder to ever be featured in the game.
