About Tucker Fredricks
Tucker Fredricks started skating from a very early age, first by playing hockey and then switching to speed skating at the age of 9. Fredricks has gone on to be one of the most successful US speed skaters in history. In 2002, Fredricks won his first of two consecutive gold medals at the U.S. Junior Speed Skating Championships and in 2003 won the gold medal at the World Championships in the 500m event. He has competed in 3 Olympic Games (2006, 2010, 2014) where he finished 25th, 12th and 26th respectively. In 2007, Fredricks set the American record for the 500m event and the 500m x2 with times of 34.31 and 68.98.
