About Timothy Goebel
Timothy Goebel was a standout American figure skater. Goebel reached the pinnacle of his career in 2002 when he won the bronze medal in men's singles competition at the Olympics. He also holds the distinction of being the first person land a quadruple salchow jump in competition and three quadruple jumps over one program. Goebel also boasts two World Championship silver medals on his resume. He won the U.S. National Championship in 2001 and finished second four times. After retiring from skating, Goebel went to school and graduated with a degree in mathematics from Columbia University. He then went on to get his masters degree in Business Analytics from New York University's Stern School of Business. Goebel currently works for Google.
