About Yordan Alvarez
Yordan Alvarez is one of baseball's rising stars with the Houston Astros. Alvarez began his professional career in Cuba before being signed by the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2016. He was traded to the Astros later that year and quickly became one of the organization's top prospects. Alvarez was selected to the All-Star Futures Game in 2017 and made his major league debut in 2019. He got off to a great start, becoming the first Houston player to hit home runs in his first two games and just the fourth player in MLB history to notch four homers in his first five games.
