About Zach Parise
Zach Parise is one of the most known American hockey players today. Parise was an alternate captain for Team USA during the 2010 Olympics and the captain for the squad at the 2014 Games. He extended the 2010 gold medal final with a goal, but ultimately Canada won in overtime and the U.S. took home the silver. His leadership skills have also been on display in the NHL, first for the New Jersey Devils, where he was a captain, and currently for his hometown Minnesota Wild, where he serves as an alternate captain. In Parise’s year as Devils captain, the team made the Stanley Cup Final. He was also a two-time team MVP in New Jersey. Parise was the 17th overall pick out of the University of North Dakota in the 2003 NHL Draft. His father, J.P. played and coached in the NHL. Parise actively supports Defending the Blue Line, a charity which helps children of military families stay involved with hockey.
