About Zak Brown
Zak Brown is the Chief Executive Officer of McLaren Racing, one of Formula 1's most iconic teams. Born and raised in California, he began his career as a professional racer, competing worldwide for about a decade across various categories before shifting to the business side of motorsport. In 1995, he founded Just Marketing International (JMI), which became the world's leading motorsport marketing agency. He later served as CEO of a larger sports division before joining McLaren initially as Executive Director and then as CEO of McLaren Racing in 2018. Under his leadership, Brown orchestrated McLaren's dramatic turnaround, revitalizing the team's culture and performance. This culminated in McLaren securing the F1 Constructors' Championship in 2024 and 2025, and in expanding into series such as IndyCar, Formula E, Extreme E, and the World Endurance Championship. He also co-owns United Autosports, a successful sports car racing team. He has transformed McLaren into a global powerhouse.
