About Chris Berman
He’s been the face and the voice of ESPN for the last 30 years. Legendary broadcaster Chris Berman is far more than just a commentator, play-by-play man, and expert analyst, according to ESPN he is the most important person in their history.
Nicknamed “Boomer”, Berman joined ESPN a month after their founding in 1979. Since that time he’s been a headline anchor for their flagship program, SportsCenter, and other popular programs like Monday Night Countdown and Sunday NFL Countdown. He also lends his talents as a play-by-play man for Major League Baseball and NFL coverage and as a co-host during ABC and ESPN’s coverage of PGA Golf, the U.S. Open and Stanley Cup Finals.
His long list of honors and accolades includes being named National Sports Caster of the Year 12 times and earning a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame in 2010. Due to his famous voice, style, wit and popularity he has also appeared in several movies, music videos, and commercials.
