Cyndy Violette

Cyndy Violette is not your average female professional athlete. She is one of the most well known female poker players of her time and prides being recognized for her appearance over her skill. She takes advantage of the female role in the poker world as she builds herself up to be a “poker babe” and admittedly hopes that men see her in a stereotypical way and go easy on her. Regardless, there is no denying that Violette is great at what she does. She won a World Series of Poker bracelet in 2004 and was one of only three women to win a gold bracelet in an open tournament that year. She has competed on the World Poker tour and has been nicknamed “Ultra” throughout her career. Violette grew up in Nevada in the 1960’s but relocated to Las Vegas with her family at the young age of 12. She stepped foot in the casinos the minute she reached the legal age, literally, and even spent some time working part-time as a blackjack and poker dealer. Violette is widely considered to be one of the game’s most experienced female players and she certainly has something to show for it as she has obtained thirtyfive money finishes to date.
