About Greg Merson
Greg Merson had a big year in 2012, winning both the 2012 World Series of Poker Main Event and Six Handed No-Limit Hold’em World Championship in route to being named the 2012 World Series of Poker Player of the Year. Merson’s rise to the top of the poker world began when he burst onto the scene in 2009, finishing 639th in his first World Series of Poker and bringing home $21,365 in winnings. Over the last five years he’s become a feared match-up for anyone that sits across the table from him. His two big wins in 2012 brought him $9.6 million in winnings and set the stage for his future success. As of 2014 he has seen time on the World Poker Tour and European Poker Tour and also played online at PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, bringing home a total of $10.9 million in total earnings.
