About Howard Lederer
Howard Lederer is a professional poker player, author, and TV broadcaster. Originally from New York, Lederer spent a few years at Columbia University, eventually dropping out to pursue a career in poker. His first attempt at qualifying for the World Series of Poker failed, as he did not make it through the qualifying rounds of the 1986 tournament. The next year, Lederer qualified and made it to the final table, finishing fifth in the no limit Texas Hold ‘em event. After moving to Las Vegas to focus on furthering his poker career, Lederer moved up in the rankings, winning multiple World Series of Poker championships and over six million dollars in winnings. As of 2013, Lederer has won two World Series of Poker bracelets and finished in the money seven times on the World Poker Tour, making him one of the best players from the United States at this time.
