About James Laurinaitis
James Laurinaitis is one of the greatest players in Ohio State history. During his days with the Buckeyes, he established himself as a future star, racking up 365 tackles, 13 sacks, 9 interceptions and 4 forced fumbles over a span of four years and earning the Bronko Nagurski Trophy, Dick Butkus Award, Jack Lambert Award and Lott Trophy. In 2008 he was presented the Lowe’s Senior CLASS Award as a testament to his character and leadership both on and off the field. It didn’t take him long to get started in the NFL after being selected by the St. Louis Rams in the 2nd round of the 2009 NFL Draft. During his rookie campaign, he recorded 120 tackles and 2 interceptions in route to earning NFL All-Rookie honors. He averaged over 126 tackles a year in his first five seasons with a career-high 142 tackles in consecutive years in 2011 and 2012. He retired in 2016 and travels the country speaking about his faith in Jesus Christ and how it has helped him be successful both in football and in life.
