About Jason Berken
Jason Berken was one of the best relief pitchers in the game during his days at Clemson University, and quickly made his way through the Baltimore Orioles minor league organization after being selected in the 6th round of the 2006 MLB Draft. In 2009 he made his debut for the Orioles and earned a win on the day he got called to the big leagues, which is always special. He’d go on to throw 119.2 innings during his rookie season and remain in the Orioles rotation through 2012. In 2010 he found his niche in the bullpen for the Orioles, posting a 3.03 record in 41 appearances with 45 strikeouts in 62.1 innings. During the 2012 season he was traded to the Chicago Cubs and remained in the bullpen. Since that time he’s signed with the San Francisco Giants and moved back to the rotation in the minor leagues. He looks to return to the big leagues in the future and become a top of the line starting pitcher.
