About John Schneider
John Schneider is a Major League Baseball manager for the Toronto Blue Jays. A former college baseball catcher at the University of Maryland, Schneider transitioned into a coaching career, joining the Blue Jays organization in 2009 as a minor league catching instructor. He advanced through roles including minor league manager, field coordinator, and director of player development. In July 2022, he became interim manager after Charlie Montoyo’s dismissal. Under his guidance, the Blue Jays reached the playoffs in 2022 and 2023. Schneider is known for his analytical mindset and emphasis on player development.
