Josh Donaldson

Josh Donaldson established himself as a major leaguer with the Oakland Athletics. His breakout season came in 2013 when Donaldson hit .301 with 24 homers and 93 RBI to finish fourth in American League MVP voting.  He followed that up with another showing that saw him make his first All-Star team and placed him in the top ten of MVP balloting.  Donaldson first saw some action with the A’s in 2010 and 2012.  In 2015, Donaldson was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays and hit .297 with 41 home runs and 123 RBI on the way to being named American League MVP. He also won a Silver Slugger Award and led the AL in both RBI and runs scored. The following season, Donaldson had another strong showing, making his third All-Star team and leading the Blue Jays to the playoffs. Over the next several years, he struggled with injuries before signing with the Atlanta Braves prior to the 2019 season. Donaldson was able to bounce back in a big way with 37 home runs and 94 RBI on the way to being named National League Comeback Player of the Year. Following that strong showing, he signed with the Minnesota Twins in the offseason. Donaldson was originally drafted by the Chicago Cubs in the supplemental first round of the 2007 MLB Draft.  He played collegiately at Auburn and went to Faith Academy in Mobile, Alabama.
