About Lace Allenius
Captain Lace Allenius spent her early years in the Florida Keys fishing with her father. She began fishing in her backyard where her first memory is of the colorful schools of parrotfish swimming by the seawall. Allenius moved from Florida to New York for an internship at Good Morning America, but this move did not pull her away from her love of fishing. During her time in New York, she helped first mate on a striper boat out of Sheepshead bay in Brooklyn. When she was not fishing, Allenius assisted in the production of two student films at Yale University. As a senior in journalism school, Allenius is a columnist for several fishing magazines and she works for NBC Sports’ Extreme Fishing Adventures as their Business Development Manager. Allenius enjoys fishing for stripers, blackfish, bluefish, and tuna while in New York. In Florida she enjoys fishing for grouper, snapper, kingfish, and cobia.
