About Michael Oher
Michael Oher is a former NFL offensive lineman. He is best-known as the subject of the 2006 book, The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game, and the 2009 Academy Award-winning film, The Blind Side. Both tell Oher's story of being taken in by a family in high school after a difficult upbringing. He was a unanimous All-American and two-time first-team All-Southeastern Conference selection at Ole Miss. The Baltimore Ravens went on to select him in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Oher spent the first five seasons of his career with the Ravens. He finished second in the Associated Press' NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year voting. Oher developed into one of the most versatile offensive tackles in football. He helped the Ravens win Super Bowl XLVII. After winning the Super Bowl, Oher joined the Tennessee Titans for one season. He spent two more seasons with the Carolina Panthers and played in Super Bowl 50.
