About Michael Vick
Not many players have excited football fans like Michael Vick. The four-time Pro Bowl quarterback also charted the ultimate story of redemption. Vick was at the top of the football world before ultimately pleading guilty to federal felony charges related to operating a dog-fighting ring. He would serve 21 months in prison, but emerged a better man, working with animal rights groups and returning to the NFL. Vick won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award in 2010 after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to the playoffs and having the best season of his career. No quarterback in league history has run for more yards over a career. Before scandal derailed his career, Vick was a standout for the Atlanta Falcons. He led the Falcons to the playoffs twice in six seasons and had four years of over 3,000 yards of total offense. Atlanta originally selected Vick with the first overall pick of the 2001 NFL Draft. In his freshman year at Virginia Tech, he dazzled the nation earning Big East Offensive Player of the Year honors in addition to being a finalist for the Heisman Trophy. Vick spent the 2014 season with the New York Jets.
