About Morgan Cato
Morgan Cato is the Executive Vice President, Player Operations for the NBA. She was previously the Phoenix Suns Assistant General Manager and Vice President of Basketball Operations. Cato became the first woman of color to be an assistant GM in league history.
Before arriving in Phoenix, she spent a decade at the NBA's league office, rising to Vice President of Business Operations. Much of the platform Cato worked on included growing the game through coaching development, the creation of the Basketball Africa League and advocating for women and people of color to be hired to high-ranking executive positions. She is a graduate of Stony Brook University and Harvard Business School's Executive Track.
