About Scott Hatteberg
Scott Hatteberg played 14 seasons in the big leagues with the Boston Red Sox, Oakland Athletics and Cincinnati Reds from 1995 to 2008. Prior to pursuing his major league career he played collegiately at Washington State University and also played on the USA national baseball team where he competed in both the 1990 Goodwill Games and 1990 Baseball World Cup. Hatteberg was selected in the supplemental 1st round in 1991 by the Boston Red Sox and went on to .273 with 106 career homeruns and 249 doubles during his major league career. Since retiring from the game in 2008 he has served as a special assistant to baseball operations for the Oakland Athletics and has briefly served as a color-commentator on Athletics broadcasts.
