Steven Nyman

It’s no surprise that Steven Nyman became a World Cup alpine ski racer on the U.S. Ski Team, as he was born and raised in the mountains of Utah where his dad ran a ski school at Sundance Mountain Resort. Learning how to ski before some of his peers learned how walk, Steven and his several brothers let their skiing dreams and aspirations grow taller than the mountains they resided in. In 1999, Nyman made his first big move in making the Park City ski team, which eventually led him to become a discretionary pick to the 2002 World Junior squad, where he won two medals in the championships. Impressing coaches left and right, they couldn’t help but enter him in a World Cup slalom six days later. That was only the beginning of Nyman’s journey, later winning on the World Cup in 2006 and competing in the Winter Olympics. Nyman was named the fastest racer at the 2010-2011 NASTAR National Championships, but he does not want to stop there. Nyman aspires to make himself better each and every day, constantly striving for new records and expanding his personal web site.
