About Tom Telesco
Tom Telesco is the former general manager of the Las Vegas Raiders. Telesco took the role after spending over a decade as the GM of the Chargers franchise.
Telesco first joined the Chargers in 2013, jumping right in to help the search team that hired head coach Mike McCoy. That season, the Chargers returned to the playoffs with 25 new players that were added to the roster by Telesco.
Telesco made his mark in the NFL Draft while leading the organization. First round picks Melvin Gordon, Jason Verrett, Joey Bosa and Justin Herbert all became Pro Bowlers. He drafted several other productive players like Manti Te'o, Keenan Allen and Denzel Perryman.
Telesco got his start in the NFL while still playing college football at John Carroll University. He was a Buffalo Bills training camp intern for four seasons. Telesco formed a relationship with then-Bills general manager Bill Polian, who hired him to work in the scouting department of the Carolina Panthers in 1995.
He followed Polian to Indianapolis and spent 15 seasons working in the Colts organization. Telesco eventually rose to the title of vice president of football operations. He had a prominent role in the front office, overseeing a team that went to the playoffs 12 times and won Super Bowl XLI.
