About Will Stein
Will Stein is the head football coach at the University of Kentucky, acclaimed for building high-octane offenses. A three-time state champion at Trinity High School, where he set a record with 54 touchdown passes in a season, Stein walked on at Louisville (2008–2012), playing in 25 games for 1,273 yards and six TDs. He gained experience as offensive coordinator at Lake Travis High School (2018–2019), leading the team to a 26–4 record and the state semifinals. At UTSA (2020–2022), Stein co-coordinated a top-15 scoring attack. Joining Oregon in 2022, he powered 43.7 points per game in 2023, molding Bo Nix’s Heisman campaign and an undefeated 2024 regular season with Dillon Gabriel, and an 11–1 2025 campaign featuring Dante Moore, earning a College Football Playoff spot. On December 1, 2025, Stein was hired as Kentucky's head coach, succeeding Mark Stoops.
