About Yadier Molina
Yadier Molina spent the majority of his career as one of the premier catchers in baseball.Molina was a ten-time All-Star and nine-time Gold Glove winner, spending his entire 19-year career with the St. Louis Cardinals.
Molina helped lead the Cardinals to two World Series rings as well. He hit .412 in the 2006 World Series, prompting people to realize that he was not just all glove. Molina continued to garner respect at the plate, winning the NL Silver Slugger Award in 2013.
Molina competed in four World Baseball Classics for Puerto Rico and won two silver medals.He was subsequently named manager of the club.
The Cardinals in the fourth round of the 2000 MLB Draft originally drafted him. He is part of the “Molina Brothers” trio.His older brothers, Bengie and Jose, also became major league catchers with World Series rings.Molina’s Foundation 4 raises money for children with cancer in Puerto Rico.
