About Jeff Hafley
Jeff Hafley is the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Hafley came to Miami after serving as the defensive coordinator for the Green Bay Packers.
Hafley was previously a head coach in college football during a four-year run at Boston College. He had three .500 or better seasons piloting the Eagles and closed his tenure with a victory in the Fenway Bowl.
Before becoming a college head coach, Hafley spent one season as the co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach at Ohio State, a year in which the Buckeyes made the College Football Playoff. He had spent the six years prior as a coach in the NFL, most recently serving as the secondary coach for the San Francisco 49ers from 2016-18.
Hafley also coached in that role with the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Before his experience in the pros, he started his career in college, working on the sidelines for various programs for 11 seasons. Hafley began as the running backs coach at Worcester Polytechnic before moving on to positions at Albany, Pittsburgh and Rutgers.
