Mike Matusow

Mike Matusow is known on “The Mouth” for his ability to trash-talk his opponents into making mistakes at the Poker table. Matusow grew up playing cards as a youngster and began pursuing a career in poker in the early 1990’s. He got his first experience playing big time poker at the age of 18 in the Maxim Casino. His first appearance in the World Series of Poker came in 1998, and after just one year he earned his first WSOP bracelet in 1999, wining the $3,500 No Limit Hold’em event. Two-years later he finished in 6th place at the WSOP $10,000 No Limit event and then won his second WSOP bracelet in 2002 in the $5,000 Omaha Hi-Low Split 8 or Better event. In 2005 he finished 9th in the WSOP Main Event, earning $1 million, and went on to win the WSOP Tournament of Champions later that year. Thus far in his career he has won five World Series of Poker bracelets, and is one of the most well-known players on the Poker circuit.
