Johnny Hennigan

John Hennigan is one of the best poker players in the world. Growing up Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Hennigan had always been interested in playing cards and eventually turned his hobby into a lucrative professional career. Known as “Johnny World” for his willingness to bet on anything in the world, Hennigan eventually rose to prominence at the World Series of Poker and finished 19th at the 1999 WSOP $10,000 no limit hold’em main event. Three years later he made his first final table and won the $2,000 H.O.R.S.E. event. In 2004 he won his second World Series of Poker bracelet in the $5,000 limit hold’em event and then followed that up with two final table appearances in 2005. In 2014 he collected his third WSOP bracelet by winning the $50k Players Championship for $1.5 million, which is considered to be the most prestigious poker event in the world. As of 2014 he has won over $3.7 million in WSOP events and collected $6.25 million in live tournament winnings.
