About Scotty Nguyen
Scott Nguyen, like most guys, began playing poker as a habit. However, Nguyen turned his habit into a million dollar career by winning five World Series of Poker bracelets. Nguyen moved to the United States from Vietnam at the age of 14 and ironically was expelled from school during his teenage years for playing too many underground poker games. At age 21 he began to pursue a career in poker full-time and went on to win the 1998 World Series of Poker Main Event and the 2008 WSOP $50,000 H.O.R.S.E World Championship making him the firs and only player to win both events. Known as “The Prince of Poker”, Nguyen has finished in the money at 46 career events and made appearances at eight final tables with 17 money finishes on the World Poker Tour. To date he has earned over $2.5 million in earnings as a pro poker player.
